Full body with hints of vanilla and sweet smokiness, with a peppery finish.
About Our Organic Cafe Cubano
As a child, Martin Mayorga spent time at cigar factories with his father, interacting with Cuban cigar makers who had fled Castro's government in the 1960's. He recalled the men playing dominos, talking about their plight upon leaving their home country, and drinking a distinctly dark, syrup coffee. Later in his childhood, when the Mayorga family fled Nicaragua, Martin was able to appreciate first hand this rich coffee while spending time with his father and Cuban immigrants who had also fled to Miami.
Our Café Cubano is an homage to the culture and distinct flavor that Martin still appreciates to this day and that brings him back memories of his father and others who fled their governments to find freedom in the United States. This profile is achieved through the specific coffees used and the roast process which we apply to achieve a distinct rich, smoky flavor with a smooth finish.
Please note that this coffee does not contain any ingredients from Cuba nor is it in any way an endorsement of the Castro’s government and its practices.

The Cubano roast from Mayorga is simply the best, richest dark coffee you can buy anywhere. My whole family drinks it now.

This is my second order of the Cubano. Sometimes I just sit with the bag open and smell the aroma. If I could find someone to make this in the "Cuban" style, I would be in heaven.

I saw people on the internet praised this coffee, so picked up a bag from Costco instead of my normal Starbucks French Roast. I was able to tell the difference at the moment I grind it. The house was filled with nice aroma, I thought I was in a coffee shop. The nutty taste is great, strong yet smooth. I will never go back to Startbucks again.

I bought this coffee after visiting my parents in PA. They can get it in Costco, but we don't have it here in MI yet! Loved this blend - it was mild/medium with a great flavor. I brought it to work and everyone else enjoyed it too.

I was not familiar with Mayorga coffees. Lucky for me I was on vacation in Atlanta & stopped at the local Costco to browse. I bought a bag to try at home. I love It! It is strong & yet not bitter. I use it whole bean in my automatic expresso machine. My local Costco here in Texas does not carry it so I'm thrilled I can purchase it online.
While I'm drinking my expresso in the mornings, it reminds me of my childhood in Cuba sipping coffee with my parents. The quality of this coffee is outstanding. It's now my coffee of choice. I will be ordering some of their other products today to try.

This coffee is so delicious and smooth it makes me feel like I’m getting away with something ... like having dessert for breakfast.

Like others, I discovered this coffee at a Costco 'road show'. I love it. In fact, it has replaced La Colombe (2x retail cost?) as my preferred brand. I use it as French Press in the morning, and drip coffee in the afternoon.
This coffee has a 'kick' (caffeine), yet is very smooth (non-acidic).

I came across this coffee at COSCO of all place and bought a 2 LB bag. I have been using it for Capuccino using my espresso maker and its absolutly the best coffee i have had.
Very smooth but with tons of flavor made perfect every time.
